OBSCURE STATE

In series Obscure State I work within a metaforical sphere with reference to the state of my memory, memories and their ineria and my (in)ability to focus. I observe functioning of my mind and create this imaginary visual world arround it. In the proces of making this series i tried to cope with and accept the disfunctions of my memory by incorporating certain irony and romanticising features either by illustrative approach, soft colors or by using glitter glue and glitter nail polish.

In the drawings i create my own symbolic space of my consciousness and subconsciousness. Repeating motif of a fence mesh symbolizes a certain barier which i connect with the phenomenon of forgetting or with my problem to focus. Organic shapes and elipses/bubbles stand for individual memories or the trace they leave behind in the brain. The compositions are created intuitively and I like to explore the limits of combining a variety of the same and alike motifs across the drawings.
