Treating the fabric with Ferrous sulphate and Alum which are mordants.
Here are the sources of eco dye used for the project: hibiscus, marigold, iron rust, onion skins and turmeric. All the dye has been sustainably resourced without exploiting. 
Used bundle dyeing technique. Butterpaper is wrapped around the fabric, to hold it tight a cotton string is used.
The bundle which was kept into a steamer for 2 hours. The hot steam helped the dye sources to release their imprints on the fabric. 
Eco print on tussar silk. The result after 2 hours of steam and drying under the shade. The fabric is used to make a shirt.
