A good place to start, like any other, is to do a Google search. This search engine has provided more and more relevant search results with each algorithm update, which means that this way you have a high probability of finding ethical clothing manufacturers.

There are also good database websites. We find the Common Objective platform particularly interesting. Manufacturer profiles can contain a lot of information, especially when it comes to sustainability. You can find information from the manufacturer on decent working conditions, animal-friendly practices, energy and water efficiency, chemical management, pollution reduction, recycling and waste, etc. Certified manufacturers upload their certificates to their profiles.

The sustainability of any clothing brand starts with their supply chain. Therefore, to have a sustainable clothing brand, you need to partner with sustainable clothing manufacturers. I would definitely use materials that don't contain toxic chemicals. OEKO-TEX certificates are solid proof of this.

If you find a clothing factory that has OEKO-TEX certificates for its yarns, haberdashery dyes and sublimation inks, you are on the right track.
