Suyapa Monterroso is a Honduran plastic artist that specializes in the beautiful human figure and colorful abstracts. Her work speaks of what she carries inside, expressing pleasant feelings and transmitting sensitivity and emotions to the viewer.
Challenge
Suyapa wanted a website where she could showcase and sell her artwork. She needed an online portfolio where potential clients and art event organizers could see her art.
Instead of showing individual photos of her art, a website portfolio makes it easier for people to come back and see the art they want to see. It is also a more professional way for Suyapa to share her paintings.
Solution
We wanted to create an experience and to make her paintings stand out. To accomplish this, we looked at inspiration from art galleries. The website has a clean and minimal design where the art itself is not competing with any other element. The paintings are the focus point.
To make the navigation experience more pleasant, we made it easier for users to know more about the artist and the art pieces. Interested buyers can request specific information from a specific painting in a way where Suyapa can easily contact them and move on on the buying process.
