The (re)creation of Moonriver
I don't get much opportunity to explain how and whats the meaning behing the symbols that i put together in my works. Here is a rough sketch of Moonriver character design sheet.
Her main outfit colors is white, black, red and light blue. Wearing a specialy designed multi layers white coat.
Black shirt with light blue tie and black belts around. A hat with symbols on it. 2 halos hovering over her right ear.
She's a doll made from a single core which make her indestructible, all incoming damage is ineffective. But can be harmed by other dolls.
Height is 152cm, she like pizza.
The symbol
It play an important role in the story to show the character's faction and also to representation that faction. In this case its Lunaticia-2, an empire on the moon.
Theres 3 parts, top part is the 3 simplified albatrosses facing away from the others to 3 directions, why albatross? it's metaphor is a mixed of blessing and curse
Middle is a ring image from overlapping 3 circles, it is Lunar eclipse, an important event for Lunaticia-2.
Bottom part is a star shaped symbol, this is used on all Dolls, sharp-looking like an arrow head, it show how alienated they are on earth and their main focus on one goal.
Three parts are connected at the center of the moon circle. Implying something brought them together like its their fate.
