Unmasking negligence behind Covid Waste!

People are increasingly wearing gloves and masks in public, in order to protect themselves and reduce the spread of COVID-19. Apparently, though, those gloves and masks need to come with proper disposal directions. Everywhere we see, there are discarded gloves and masks in streets and parking lots, left behind by people who couldn’t be bothered to find a nearby trash bin.

This project is to educate people who do not think about where their used masks and gloves might end up or who they might infect. Through this series of illustrations I want to bring awareness to the current problem.

The design process

This project started with an storyboarding. There were different scenes which were demonstrated and decided while making the sketches.

Before starting, I had to have a clear understanding of the problem I wanted to solve and the  objective for which I was designing. Research is where the initial ideas begun to build, so that I could envision what I was designing. Sketching helped me a lot to extract numerous ideas out quickly before I entered into the later stage of this project.
Character Design

The process of designing a character has been created using the concept and style of that character from scratch. This was basically where I had to decide what character I will be making and for what purpose.

When I had to choose the overall style or styles, it was the time to add details that will bring that shape to life. Depending on the character, it might include adding clothes and hair, facial styles, and props.
