Shooters Sports Bar & Turf – Visual Identity



Shooters is a concept brand that I developed as a part of my final year college project. A sports bar based out in Kochi, India. It is a hangout for football culture with an in-house pitch for people to come & play with their mates—a lounge to watch live matches & chill. A complete ecosystem for football lovers.

To understand the target audience I conducted an online survey about the idea; The challenge was to create an identity system that appeals to both youth & the middle-aged. To begin with the process I designed two stylescapes. The solution came after many false starts. A combination mark with a scalable system was introduced for the logo, which is adaptable to different sizes & easily memorable for the audience. The wordmark was designed with a custom typeface inspired by Delirium NCV. Later on, a completely new typeface was designed from the characters of the logo.


To ensure flexibility across multiple applications, a scalable version of the logo was added. This version is used on smaller applications like bottle caps, T-shirt tags, etc.


The vocabulary of Shooters is rich with hard-hitting, bold patterns as displayed above. The idea of the semi-circle is inspired by the penalty arc on a football pitch. Its use instantly adds unmistakable Shooters flavour.


Working with the letters from the logotype, a completely new typeface was created; inspired by its tall, bold characteristics. The typeface exists in only one form—Shooters Display. It is intended primarily as a display typeface for headlines and titles.
