RESUME CLIENT TEMPLATE: VIRGINIA TECH
Conditions:
- Client requested a color scheme to represent the university that they currently attended: Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
- Client wanted space to add a QR code to scan for their portfolio.
- Client is planning to be a Civil engineering major, and thus requested to have a symbol worked into their resume that would represent his field of interest.
- Client liked the idea of iconography next to section titles as a form of "bullet point"
Via independent research (Extracted from https://brand.vt.edu/identity/color.html), I determined that sticking to the primary color palette would be best for the client in terms of visual identity with their affiliated University. Client was shown both palettes from the VT main site and agreed, but requested to incorporate as many of the colors from the palette on to the resume as possible, without losing professionality.
In the final product, 4 of the 5 colors from the primary palette were utilized: Chicago Maroon, Burnt Orange, Hokie Stone, and Yardline White. Utilizing the palette samples, all colors used in the final document are web and print-friendly and can be sampled with Pantone. Typeface used: Futura PT.
