Final Monograph Project: Neutralizing Gender Stereotypes Print Set
A pattern uncovered by my research was the lack of images showing male sensitivity, in which boys are shown accepting their emotions, especially when these feelings involve sadness or crying. Most boys are told that men don't cry, which reinforces the gender stereotypes that my project intended to neutralize. In this illustration, I decided to represent a boys feelings with a catch-phrase that empowered their emotions:
"Liberate your feelings".
