El corazón delator / The Tell-Tale Heart

El Corazón Delator es un cuento escrito por Edgar Allan Poe que relata la obsesión del narrador con el “ojo de buitre” azul pálido del anciano con el que vive y la confesión de su asesinato.
El objetivo fue diagramar una propuesta de libro que captara la atención de una audiencia adolescente para incentivarla a leer.
El diseño se presenta en un formato cuadrado para romper con la cotidianidad del libro rectangular y facilitar su manipulación. La paleta se basa en colores poco saturados (para evitar distracciones en la lectura) que se asocian con la historia y se aplicó en algunas páginas como color de fondo para brindar ritmo visual. Adicionalmente, se distribuyeron ilustraciones en blanco y negro para contrastar y se integraron con el texto para hacerlo más atractivo y reforzar los sucesos.

The Tell-Tale Heart is a short story written by Edgar Allan Poe that recounts the obsession of the narrator with the pale blue “vulture-eye” of the old man he lives with and the confession of his murder.
The objective was to lay out a book proposal that captured the attention of an adolescent audience to encouraged them to read.
The design is presented in a square format to break with the everyday rectangular book and make its handling easier. The palette is based on low saturated colors (to avoid distractions from reading) that are associated with the story and applied in some pages as a background color to provide visual rhythm. Additionally, black and white illustrations are distributed to contrast, and they integrate with the text to make it more attractive and reinforce the events.
