This is a morning image of Orange Beach Alabama on June 16, 2020, with many forms of ocean waves and their effects on beach sand, seagulls and their long shadows and paddle foot tracks, and variations of light and shadow in the sea swells extending to a horizon created by the curvature of the earth. The wind moving across the ocean's surface generates waves through frictional forces travelling great distances that ultimately come ashore, repeating endlessly. Floating birds and swimmers are lifted up and let down in a circular motion as each wave passes. Waves crash into the beach with an eroding action on the sand dragging seashells into the shallows. Very long-period waves travelling through the ocean created by the sun, rotating earth, earth's moon, cause the surface of the ocean to rise and fall once or twice a day as the tide comes in and the tide goes back out.  Wave and tidal action built a short wall along this beach where waves spill over. Standing waves form in the water draining further down the beach and returning to the sea completing a cycle.
