COLORED MARKER RENDERS

Using colored markers is the favorite medium used by the artist in his working drawings. Aside from saving much time in doing an output, the pigments are easier to blend, having an opportunity to create another color and visually improve manually rendered outputs.
PATTERNS & SOFT FINISHES
Plate showcasing manually rendered living room, free hand drawn and patterned with colored markers. The goal is to create fine textures and create a cohesive visual look of patterns co-existing in a space.
RENDERING TECHNIQUES USING COLORED MARKERS
Rendering markers on parchment paper. Detailed and zoomed in rendered working drawings to show different textures of different interior design materials.
MODERN BEDROOM: ONE POINT-PERSPECTIVE
An example of a modern bedroom in one-point perspective. The design was made warm and cozy as embracing biophilia. Warm neutrals bring life to the space and the use of pen for further detailing.
BALANGAY INSPIRED RESIDENTIAL HOUSE
Together with colleagues: Chua, Ramos and Riguerra, this plate was made as an output for 'Interior Design Construction' subject. The output shows a Balangay (native) inspired house. Different views highlights the form and materials used that are emphasized by using colored markers as the main rendering tool.
EXISTING GROUND FLOOR PLAN
A plate made for a major design subject (Interior Design 1) that focuses on conceptualizing and designing residential houses. Photo on the middle and left side shows the detailed working drawings of the interior ground floor plan with specifications. The rightmost photo shows the one-point perspective of the ground floor plan. All rendered with colored markers.
RENDERING WITH MARKERS: STILL LIFE DRAWING
A plate made under the interior design rendering subject. Still life rendering of objects displayed with the goal of manually capturing details: material's transparency, shines and gloss, and texture. Colored markers are the main medium yet pens create additional and essential effect for the overall impact.
MONOCHROMATIC RENDERING
This is the artist's most favorite manually rendered plate with the use of warm neutrals- colored markers. The task is to capture a scene outdoor and manually copy it as a free hand working drawing. The artist was challenged yet it was successful (received a perfect grade) and worthwhile as the work was also featured in an annual interior design exhibition.
