Through Summer of Tech New Zealand, I was fortunate to be connected to industry experts as a student and had the opportunity to complete a three month User Experience Internship with Digital Arts Network, Auckland (Nov 2019 - Feb 2020).
In late 2019, Digital Arts Network (DAN) surveyed New Zealand organisations to understand the maturity of local design practices.
"Our aim for this benchmark report was to give design leaders a useful point of comparison as well as some inspiration and actionable insights. We saw a need for a current report that was both local and practice-based - grounded in what design teams are actually doing."
During my internship at DAN, I was trusted to co-lead the new Design Maturity Benchmark Report with a fellow intern. I assisted the Strategist intern at analysing and finding insights from a pool of raw data and I was given the role to lead the design vision.
The design was created through facilitating co-design workshops, daily stand ups/critiques and always checking up with my Senior Design mentors and stakeholders. The DAN branding and a minimalistic design inspiration was used so readers could digest the data in an effective and impactful way.
