Design Objective:
The objective of the household item project was to take an everyday item and turn it into a logo. After converting the item into a logo, we then had to create a business based on it. Additionally, we created a microsite to promote an event our business would host. We also animated our logos and created an identity package for our business.
Design Brief:
I started by picking ten items around my house and sketching these items. Through sketching them, I was able to see which was the most visually interesting. In looking at a washing machine, I found there were many styles I could apply to my household item. Once I had sketched my washing machine, I brainstormed some names for my company. The name wash wizard was chosen, and to tie the name in the logo together, I styled the washing machine after a crystal ball.
