In 2020 I was deeply immersed in my project which is a continuation of my 2019 Magazine studies. I aimed to deconstruct magazines and create a distortion of the original imagery through reconstruction by collage.
The importance here is to take away any stereotypes or sexualisation of women displayed in high-end magazines.
I would like women of all shapes, sizes, races, ages, disabilities etc to be able to look at my work and not feel the need to compare themselves. The work is full of colour and vibrancy. Colour is important as it gives a different perspective to some of the darker imagery you normally find within magazines.
