Mr. Reeves is an accomplished musician and a member of the American Federation of Musicians (AFM).

The world’s largest union of musicians, the AFM is comprised of over 80,000 members who perform and produce music. The AFM recently announced that a new and improved Television Videotape Agreement with television stations CBS, NBC, and ABC has been approved and will provide residual streaming for musicians participating in live television performances.

Musicians who take part in television shows that are broadcast on streaming platforms supported by advertisers are covered by the agreement. Wage increases and enhanced health contributions are also outlined in the agreement, which became effective December 27, 2020. The new agreement was made possible through the efforts of the AFM’s negotiating team and musicians who worked on the #RespectUs campaign to raise awareness of inequity regarding their contracts.
