Quarantine Dreams

The early days of the quarantine were often scary, confusing, frustrating and often downright depressing times. Not enough time has passed, as of writing this, to completely eliminate these aforementioned sentiments however the faintest wisps of hope seem to be in the air. At that time I was finding it difficult to express my sentiments through my preferred artistic medium, which is photography, due to social distancing and lockdown restrictions. I decided to challenge myself to create a series of digital art composites using only stock photography, which solved two personal challenges: allowing me access to spaces and people and the illusory effect of being able to travel to these beautiful locations vicariously through the lens of other photographers. This series explores the role isolation and uncertainty has played on society in the age of COVID.
