1. "PORTFOLIO" Cover design for my final Portfolio magazine project. A professional photo of myself with Photoshop manipulation and type treatment. 2. "Overcome the Adversities, Build your future" Article design for final Portfolio magazine project. Incorporating a previous project, “The Six Word Memoir” into a new content layout. Composed of Photoshop manipulated image, abstract illustrator design with varying opacities topped with title treatment and body copy borrowed from a previous author, explaining the origin and purpose of a six word memoir. 3. "The Golden Rule" Article design for use within my Portfolio magazine project. Black and white photography done with a Canon Rebel 2000 35mm film camera and embellished with abstract illustrator design. Original text by Mara Bovsun. 4. "Alexy Brodovitch" Article design for final portfolio project. Utilizing a previous essay written for a graphic design history class, showcasing the innovative and divine, Alexy Brodovitch and giving it a new life within my Portfolio magazine. Photo, courtesy of Coisy/33images, was chosen specifically for its comparison to the images of elegant and sophisticated women used by Alexy Brodovitch during his time at Harper’s Bazaar. Her distinct look is paired with several nods to the designer’s character styles including specific headline font, chosen to match the mood of the layout and a signature silhouette style of type setting. (Notice the images of the women framing the text.) 5. "Drafting the Physical Connection" Article design for final Portfolio magazine project. "Hawthorn Hill" An advertisement intended for use within my final Portfolio magazine project. Original color photography done with a Nikon D3400 digital 35mm and blended using Photoshop with historical black and white photography for the purpose of showcasing the past blending into and ushering in the future. 7. "Welcome Home Beautiful" Advertisement design for use within my Portfolio magazine project. Ad composition is intended to showcase original photography done with a Nikon D3400 digital 35mm as well as logo design done in illustrator. The beautiful home and inspiration for the layout is courtesy of Sandy Kirchner. 8. "Meyer Decor" Advertisement design for use within my Portfolio magazine project. Showcasing the woodworking skills of a friend and fellow designer. Original photography by Tim Meyer is displayed prominently with descriptive text and logo designed in illustrator. 9. "Discover" Advertisement design for use within my Portfolio magazine project. The focal point of the ad is an original painting done by myself, placed within a gallery setting. It is coupled with an original logo designed in Illustrator and type treatment intended to emphasize the message. 10. "Howard Inc." Advertisement design for use within my Portfolio magazine project. Photography done with a Nikon D3400 digital 35mm. Logo designed in Illustrator with Photoshop manipulation to appear upon food bag. 11. "Keys are Calling" Advertisement intended for use within Portfolio magazine project. Photography done with a Nikon D3400 digital 35mm. 12. "CBD infographic" created to explain with eye catching imagery, the purpose and benefits of Cannabidiol. "Design Drawing" Objective for this project was to create a poster showcasing the talent of the design class in an effort to recruit students into the curriculum. I have used the best representation of my drawing skills combined with the required text to convey the message. 14. "Gaming Infographic" designed to illustrate the rise of interest in video games and its effect on industry.
