VANILLA D.I.Y CAKE / social media
objective:
Vanilla D.I.Y cake is a popular menu from Vanilla industry Thailand. This set allows you to personalise your memorable birthday cake with additional decorative items from the store.
The brief is to develop 4 months online visual communication plan by publishing the contents twice a month on social media (Facebook and Instagram) as well as deliver the best outcome within the arranged budget.
d.i.y cake:
The photoshoot is explored in 8 directions following the tools and decorative items from the Vanilla store and other props upon each preference and imagination.
Boosting your creativity and have fun with this decoration without being concerned about the looks, as long as you can add them up!
The dark/light backgrounds are set for creating a variety of moods, including the ease of use in the retouching process by using 90% of grey tone for the dark set and 20% of grey tone for the light one.
retouching process:
The aim is to create a stop motion, so the shooting has to be produced step by step and shot by shot which requires 15-20 pictures per motion. The brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation in each picture have to be fixed set in common for the most impact artwork from an actual product colour and the background set.
design process:
An experiment on design layout applying an element from the calendar to enhance and remind of the particular month. The thinking process emphasis the stop motion layout by editing the picture to the motion file.
showcase:
Vanilla D.I.Y cake introduces both still image and stop motion through social media (Facebook and Instagram) with the background music in ‘Happy Birthday’ blessing you on your special day.
