The Holly’s Ice Cream collection came from a computer graphics class where the task was to come up with a fresh, new brand of a consumable commodity complete with different packaging options, marketing collaterals, and exhibit booths.
The name “Holly” was inspired by the 1970s rag doll called Holly Hobbie doll. A vintage favorite, the Holly Hobbie doll brings back fond memories passed down from one generation to the other. This is the same fondness I wished to project unto the ice cream line --- the same familiarity and a sense of home in every ice cream container bought. 

Throughout the collection, there is an ongoing theme of “old meets new” where classic elements are partnered with modern ones which the new generation of ice cream lovers can relate to.
Outer Box Concept --- To show the versatility of the concept, the design elements are projected on different branding paraphernalia. This box concept acts as the outer box of the ice cream tin can once the product is purchased, ready to be brought home.
Point-of-Purchase Concept --- This point-of purchase concept was designed for groceries, department stores and supermarkets. The Ice cream freezer was dressed up to look like a vintage car, specifically the 1959 Porsche convertible, with teal being the ongoing color theme. Meanwhile, the flooring and the awnings are inspired by the 1950s to the 1960s ice cream parlor key elements.
Actual Model
Exhibit Booth Concept --- This concept is suitable for trade shows and fairs where the brand will be advertising and there is a need to stand out from the crowd. The main frame of the exhibit booth is influenced by the classic ice cream trucks roaming from one village to the other bringing our old-time ice cream favorites. The size of the booth is approximately the size of an actual ice cream truck as well.
Marketing Collaterals --- The color teal was utilized for this ice cream line due to how the color is the perfect mix of blue’s stability and green’s optimism and healing properties. The color is said to recharge one’s spirit during times of mental stress or weariness which is exactly what ice cream is commonly linked to nowadays - a way to destress and relax.
