Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is a global chain of luxury hotels that operates 76 properties worldwide, with a strong presence in Canada. Historically, Fairmont’s hotel bars have been places where deals were struck and history was made – showing cocktail culture is about more than just drinks. Classics Perfected – is a Global Cocktail Menu at the Fairmont Hotels, a reflection on worldwide cocktail trends mixed with the modern influence. The series of 10 illustrations were created to be used in a new bar menu, printed on cards and used in other marketing materials, printed and digitally.
The main task here was to show drinks as realistic as possible, but bringing in more contrast and saturated colours.
The main challenge: I was given photo references of the cocktails in a simple glass and a particular glass with ornament. I needed to render the given cocktail in the ornamented glass with adding garnish.
