Final Project
My design for the Senior Online Exhibition 2021 was based on the idea of hope. 2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone and the graduating seniors have been missing out on a lot of common final year experiences. I thought that this poster could serve as a reminder that we should all have hope for the times ahead. I used a common color palette across all three posters to make a connection between the three. The color palette is also very hopeful and bright. I decided to use minimalist designs of different places of campus to remind seniors of their time here. The minimalist design was used to draw the eye to the text while still providing a design in the background. In each poster the text is creatively arranged to communicate information about the event. The sun features the title of the posters, the “Senior Online Exhibition”. Poster 1 shows Horsebarn Hill, a very common and memorable spot on campus. I decided to animate this first poster to show the sun rising to represent the seniors rising. Poster 2 shows the Husky statue, another staple on campus. The third poster shows the Wilbur Cross building, an important administrative building on campus. All three of these places on campus will hopefully strike a memorable note with the viewers.
