This image was painted from a picture I had taken years ago. It attempts to portray a sunset over a small village in a valley full of snow. The warmth of the sunset against the winter scenery is intended to convey a sense of nostalgia and safety during a time of uncertainty. 

Additionally, the illustrative nature of the houses and trees takes inspiration from children's story books, which helps to add to the nostalgic nature of the piece, while also making it look playful and surreal.
