Méduse
Wearable Technology 2019
Inspired by the serenity of the ocean, I wanted to look into the marine life for this design. I am always surrounded by a constant flow of people around me, which exhausts me at the end of the day. I wanted to find the balance of having time to myself and keeping in contact with my social circle. Taking inspiration from jellyfish, they are always floating freely. They are a strong symbol of inner strength and emotions. With a capacitive touch sensor, it imitates that action by dulling the lights from the LED when the sensor senses pressure or touch on the dress. This translates to having personal space when needed.
