On October 17, 2010, I hiked 10 miles in Central Oregon -- along the Pacific Crest Trail from Santiam Pass to the west flank of Three-Fingered Jack and back to the Pass. My elevation gain was 1,450 feet. I took these pics with a tiny-sensor Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 pocket zoom digicam.
