Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a mental illness with recurring obsessions, compulsive impulses and compulsive behaviors as its main manifestations. Most patients think that these obsessions and behaviors are unnecessary and abnormal, even against their wishes, but they cannot stop, so they feel anxious and painful.
