This is a save the date design for my intro to graphic design class. The prompt for this exercise was to build on what I know about proximity and alignment to create an invitation for an event or a party. The challenge of this exercise was that I was only allowed to use different types and no more than two colors. I wanted the overall save the date to look classically elegant while still having a unique feel. I wanted to establish hierarchy by making the names larger than the rest of the information. I chose this type face to keep an elegant look but also making the type easy to read for all future guests.
