Here for this project I really wanted to expand my knowledge on double exposure. I started off by finding an image of a deer a bear and a mountain top. I layer masked the bear and gave it some gradient color and layer masked the deer that I would later on move to the center. I tried a couple different gradients to see what one I liked best.
Then as you can see here I went with the light blue and purple one and got a really cool outcome.
Then I layer masked a buffalo and did the same thing and picked the same gradient so everything would sort of match. I decided to bring in a. different deer with bigger anterls to assert itself as the center point in the work.
Here I simply did nothing other than layer mask the deer as the antlers proved quite challenging to do and I had to keep going back and erasing bits and pieces.
Here I did a whole lot and although I can't remember exactly how I went about it Ill share. First I needed a background for these animals. So I lowered the opacity on a Grand Canyon image I found and that I really liked. I messed with the gradients and edits and finally came to this. I think it matches all oranges and from the sunset resting on the deers antlers and bisons back to the mountaintop visible on the bears face, it ties everything together really well.
