Zuzanna Czaja is a starting fashion designer with extraordinary ideas. Each of her collections has its own story. She expresses her mind about social life and politics with her projects. She aspires to design for Prêt-à-porter way of fashion, but only with the best practices of Haute Couture. Her goal is to share her thoughts contained in a luxury clothes with as many people as possible.

My task was to combine it into a portfolio. I had to determine two target groups – her potential clients and employers. It required two different versions, but in a consistent key visual. I had to disposal photographs of her designs from magazines and her own photo sessions.

Catalogue

Catalogue was made for the target group consisted of employers. It contains collections and individual designs with descriptions. It had to be simple and comfortable in usage. The most important part was to show photos with designs, so I placed descriptions on narrow pages. It helps to avoid losing attention while watching.

Catalogue was designed in an A4 format with a Japanese artistic bookbinding. It was the starting point in this project, so it became a key visual. It’s based on a grid and I used this method on the other printed materials. At this stage, I also determined colors and typography.

Prints & fabrics

Second version of this portfolio is an envelope with business card, leaflet, cards with sewed in samples of fabrics and posters. She can make a gift of it at any thematic business fairs, which she exhibits her works on. It's a highly creative way to show her designs. Everyone who is interested can read a few words about her, feel the fabrics that Zuzanna uses on their own skin or keep the business card with her contact informations.
