The World
For my self portrait, my journey is shown through the tarot cards’ meaning. I am looking back to the things I am leaving in the past while still showing I was still looking forward to a better future. I feel held back by the expectations other people have of me, moving into a future, my future filled with only my expectations makes me lighter . A balance between the past and the future tips the scale of my design by placing myself weightless in one corner against the heavy burden of others on the bottom left corner. The movement travels from bottom to top diagonally leaving the page as the design emphasizes the journey taking place.
