Lulumahu Falls Oahu

Lulumahu Falls Hike
This was a bamboo forest that you had to get through at the start of the trail.  The stalks were very dense in some parts and it reminded me of a scene in 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'
I thought the texture of this tree was very interesting.  I saw this on my way towards the falls after getting out of the bamboo forest.
Heading up the trail, there were many spots that I stopped to take pictures at.  This was on a little hill just before the water started flowing on the other side.
Here is where the water started on the trail.  It was exciting to see! I have only been on one other waterfall hike here in Hawaii and I was glad that this was one that I could do on my own.
Got stuck in some very dark spots where the brush was very thick.  I knew I was getting close to the falls.
I made it to the falls!  There was quite a bit of people there so I tried not to get them in the shots.
Lots of rocks that had water flowing between them.  I loved the tranquility that this place  exuded.
The way that the water flowed between these rocks, the texture of the moss that was growing on the rocks, and the way these rocks were sitting made for an interesting composition.  I saw it and immediately saw the picture I wanted to capture.
The base of the waterfalls was very calming.  The stillness of the water was a juxtaposition to the waterfall rushing down the side of the mountain.
I was trying my hardest to try and capture the movement of the water and how the water glistened off the surface of the rocks.
I loved how still the water was in this shot even though you could hear the falls roaring so close to it.
I was able to take a nice panorama shot of the view before heading back down the trail to get to the starting point
I took a moment to look back up towards the falls before heading further down.  There was so much vegetation that you can't even really see the falls anymore.  These mini "falls" were very peaceful to look at.
This pile of rocks looked peculiar on the way down.  It's as if someone or something placed them here on purpose.  Not too sure why these particular pile of rocks were placed here but it did make me feel a little uneasy like I wasn't supposed to go that way.  At the top was a little clearing.
