Project Endeavor Section 1

(Character & Environment Concept Sketches #1/2)
Character Concept #1
A hostile enemy type to raise the stakes of the journey, reoccurring through the story as the antagonist to watch the players every move. Along with its very name, it projects an image of a hunter waiting in the shadows for an opportune moment to strike at its prey when most vulnerable, weakened if not able to withstand the creature's puzzles at hand.

Assigned name: The Enfeebler

With a humanoid form to reflect its disposition in life as a puzzle-master, it can invoke despair with its hollow eyes, a mouth capable of sucking out the very soul of those who shall completely fail at its game, just after entangling the player in its gangling tentacles.
Character Concept #2
An opposite of the Enfeebler: a friendly human character, made to be an ally in the undertaking.

Assigned name: Marcus Dent

Though a cautious individual that prefers to seal his identity behind a helmet and cloak, it’s soon revealed that his incognito, low profile mannerisms are for the sake of aiding the player without the Enfeebler recognizing Dent as a former puzzle-master on a council formed/united to educate the masses until the Enfeebler starting abusing the power for its own grim amusement, leading to the fall-out. And with his expertise and the players determination to understanding the workings of the world and overcome the challenger, there is a chance for triumph.
Environment Concept #1
Reginald's Wilderness:
A vast plain of towering trees among a snowy mountain range, it provides the alien mystic with his means of survival and comfort in cold temperatures and a dense fog for privacy, leaving him to his meditation in the caves.
Environment Concept #2
Neontropolis:
When there's a world to be explored and sought for answers, especially if that world leaps from various realms, the player can eventually venture here. Though the sky is may always be as dark as night, the neon outline of the city always keeps it shining bright.
