I drew the typeface using a paint brush and ink to express traditional Japanese calligraphy and handwriting. The rough brushed letters were converted to a typeface and also reflects how quick sushi is to create. The smiling fish symbol combines a surfboard shape, which represents Australian beach culture. Black represents the traditional Asian culture and yellow and blue for the beach culture. So when these elements are combined, the whole brand expresses to the audience a relaxed and natural atmosphere.
