When Ted Vitale started working for Petore Construction, he accepted a position as an executive project manager. Over the years, Ted Vitale rose to the position of chief executive officer of a company that handles projects across the New York area for clients in the commercial, aviation, and retail sectors. Petore Construction oversaw the development of a space shared by Hudson News and Dunkin Donuts in the Port Authority Midtown Bus Terminal in New York, New York.

Established as a hub for all city buses in the New York City area, the Port Authority Midtown Bus Terminal opened in 1950 after nearly two years of construction. In 1981, the terminal, run by the New York Port Authority, expanded by nearly 50 percent thanks to a new wing that increased capacity for buses and offered more parking for visitors.

Around 260,000 travelers pass through the Port Authority Midtown Bus Terminal on any given weekday. People commute to and from the Hudson Valley, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey from the terminal. Travelers to other locations along the Atlantic and into Canada also use the terminal.
